17th Cavalry Regiment
I am going to join the army as an officer how do I break this to my mum?
I am 17 and would like to join the Blues & Royals regiment in the Household Cavalry as an Officer. Ideally I would like a scholarship to Sandhurst to pay for university and the earlier I apply the better. I have already broken this news to my father and he is very proud and supportive of the fact that I want to experience this, however I am not sure how my mum will take it, how will I break it to her?

What I would recommend to you is have you and your father tell her together..He will be a wonderful support for you in this new adventure that is a great descision.
My son was in the Air Force and became a fighter pilot.
