ld just like to know something, 3 questions actually. Once you go in the army and you receive your unit, will it change? Or is that your permanent? like for instance
3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light)
to a
716th Military Police Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault)
and please, if you are not sure, do not answer. I have seen so many people who have answered completely false, and they just think they know the right answer.
my next question is – is there anything that a signal communicator goes into? Or maybe a mechanic? like for insatnce maybe there is nothing and they are just sent to

also, while in the army, can you live your normal life and live wherever you want? Like I want to live in virginia or N. Carolina. Can I still do that?
To your first question, no and yes. You will receive orders after your MOS training to your next duty station. It will not change to another Division. Most of the time you will be assigned to the Replacement unit on the installation and then assigned to a unit once you report in. Although sometimes you can be cut orders to a specific unit before reaching the duty station. In this situation yes the unit you are assigned to can be changed when reporting in. (I had that happen to me).
To you some MOS’s can go into many different types of units, such as a mechanic can in most units in the Army seeing that most units have some form of ground vehicles. It really all depends on the MOS. Other MOS’s must be assigned to a specific type unit.
If you are active duty in the Army you won’t live a normal life. You will live where that Army tells you to live. Granted you can enlist (or re-enlist) for another duty station you will only be guaranteed a limited time there.
