American Civil War Hats
Do you recognize this movie?
I think the setting was around the Civil War.
I saw this movie when I was younger, so it would have been made in the 80’s or 90’s… but it could have been earlier than that. I don’t remember very many details, but I’ll put what I can remember.
Tell me if this sounds familiar: There were two young ladies… one of them had black hair and was a Southern belle. They were riding on horses out in the country, and had an encounter with some Native American Indians, one of which had black and white face paint and a top hat.
I think it may have taken place right before the Civil War, but I’m not positive about that. It seems like the story was about their friendship, and how it was strained.
I saw this on TV, so it could have been made-for-tv, or a miniseries too.

I believe it was a tv movie from 1997 called “True Women”. Starred Angelina Jolie, and Dana Delany.
