Cavalry Buttons
What are old military uniforms worth?…?
I have an 1890’s army uniform in PERFECT condition, with ALL the buttons, cavalry hat (with the star made from small holes), and shin guard.
I should add – I’m not looking to sell it, I’m just curious as to the value.
My friend collects old uniforms. He specializes in anything from the 82d from WWI before they were an airborne division. Uniforms can be extremely valuable if they are complete and even more so if they have the historical background (who the soldier was, where he fought etc). Obviously if you can attribute a uniform to someone famous or a bona fide war hero the uniform has even more value. Search online for collectors for the best best. Most pawn shops and local antiques dealers will just rip you off.
