Cavalry Gear

Cavalry Scout or Pathfinder, which would you recommend?
… I’m not afraid to see combat (actually might prefer it), I’ve always kinda wanted to jump out of an airplane, so which do you recommend?
one detail, I don’t know if Pathfinders ever have to use scuba diving gear, because my lungs prohibit me from scuba diving, atleast down deep anyway, something about too much pressure or something… I think.
And I’m already in the Army and going to training later this year so don’t just say you’ll be disqualified from the military.
I’m well aware that Pathfinder is a qualification, but I was under the impression that they had pathfinder units… or at least units made up of pathfinders who find/mark drop zones
Well excuse me aristotale1776, let me re phrase that… I WILL BE in the army
yes I clarified that with other people and I guess the general agreement among most is that I am classified as a recruit… sound right?
You obviously are not in the Army based on your question. Being in DEP does not mean you are in the Army (for your information).
Cav Scout (19D) is a MOS that you can enlist in. Pathfinder is a school you can attend. I think you are misunderstanding what a Pathfinder does, they are the guys who mark the drop zones so planes can accurately ‘drop’ their airborne troops. Yes they learn a little navigation but I would take a well-versed 13F NCO in land nav over some guy who went to pathfinder school.
It is a tough school to get and I’ve never seen anyone besides officers and NCOs attend that school from my unit. If you want to jump out of a plane I would recommend getting airborne school in your contract.
