I have a issue i am a civil servant for the MoD im muslim recently i went to Iran ?

And my workplace called in special branch because they thought i was a extremist muslim extremist, my house was searched and nothing was found , then i got a appology from head of security, i left the TA because of it and offered my resignation from work but it was refused, i gave them my dvd’s of my trip to Iran and pictures, then i was asked if i go into Iran for uk government, i refused i said i donr agree with Iraq war and Iranian people are very nice people, i now am very unhappy at work and want to leave what should i do, people call me a terrortist. I feel personnel have a vendetta against me.

If your letter is true (doubt it, can’t imagine special branch getting involved) just get a lawyer that specializes in employment law, there are special restrictions accorded to certain special government employees but no one can refuse your resignation.

Do you think that this was a genuine security issue or is it possible that someone simply doesn’t like you within the department and wants to make trouble for you?

Are you suffering religious discrimination? – a difficult (special) area within certain government departments.

You can’t seriously expect not to be investigated after going to Iran whilst being an MOD employee.

Speak to Lawyer and your Civil Service Union Rep., if there is any vendetta against you then you have a serious claim for compensation.

You need to note every incidence with names, times and dates.

You need to get this sorted otherwise you face possibility of accusations that fabricate your wrongdoings and put you under considerable pressure for you to enter Iran as a foreign agent rather than simply a family visitor or tourist., that would be unacceptable.
