SC 2382 - I am offering for your consideration a very rare Alabama map button.  It has the Schuyler H & G backmark.  These cuff sized are prized by button collectors, they aren't easy to come by and this one is in great condition.  It has excellent detail for a cuff button, lots of desirable gold finish as well.  Folks, these buttons don't just turn up everyday, like this.        S0ld

SC 3280 - CIVIL WAR GEORGIA BUTTON - I have for your consideration this authentic Confederate Georgia State Seal coat sized button, measuring 23 mm in diameter.  This example has a blank backmark in a depressed channel, shank loop is still intact, standing up but is bent over due to a small push in the back by the shank loop.  It has a beautiful, rich chocolate patina.  This button displays beautifully and will make a n excellent item to feature in your display of rare Confederate buttons.       $235.00

SC 3222 - LOUISIANA COAT BUTTON - This is a super nice Confederate Louisiana button.  It is of coat size, has plenty of original finish to the front, stand up shank loop on the back.  Has the early "Extra Rich" back mark.  This button was found at Berkley Plantation near Richmond, Virginia.  You probly can't see it in the picture, but I want to mention that it has a very tiny push to the left wing.   $425.00  Sold

SC 3213 - The Maryland state seal staff; 3 piece button. This example has a  little of the rim gone around 1 to 3 o' clock , due to the ground action . Like most all these buttons this one looks better than the pictures show up (14mm).  MD 11         Sold

SC 3242 - CONFEDERATE NORTH CAROLINA BUTTON - CIVIL WAR BUTTON - This button is an outstanding North Carolina Confederate button.  This one has the desirable high dome style, blank backmark and depressed channel, stand up shank loop and a beautiful dark chocolate patina.  It's of coat size and measures in at 21 mm.  You'd have to look high and low to find one of these in this condition.       Sold

SC 3240. OUTSTANDING CONFEDERATE SOUTH CAROLINA BUTTON - This button has a Extra Quality backmark, stand up shank loop, slightly bent, with the thread still remaining.  This a really clean example, I have seen a lot of Confederate buttons, and this one is outstanding.  It has super detail, and a nice chocolate patina, super gilt  remaining!  This button measures 18 mm.        Sold

SC 3238 - SCARCE SOUTH CAROLINA "LOCAL" BUTTON - This South Carolina Confederate was "local" made in Charleston on the south-side of Market Street, just west of Meeting St.  It was made during the Civil War.  The backmark reads "Schur & Bland - Charleston S.C.", R.M.D.C.  This button measures 23 mm in diameter and it's listed in Albert's Button Book as SC 19.  This example is a low convex and I believe it was recovered in the Richmond, Virginia vicinity.        Sold

SC 3365 - TEXAS STAR CS - This one piece casting was recovered in Caroline County, Va.  The high convex version that measures 23mm., is a very rare and beautiful button.      Sold

SC 3403 - Virginia Staff Officer button.  This is an authentic, excavated example; it was recovered from Richmond, Virginia.  This is a three piece button that was worn by Virginia staff officers with a clear motto, "Sic Semper Tyrannis" at the bottom of the front, which translates, "Thus Unto Tyrants".  This button is clear and solid with minimal push to front.  VA 20, coat size (23 mm).        Sold

SC 3312 - HORSTMANN & ALLIEN BACKMARKED VIRGINIA VA 15 - This is a very attractive Horstmann & Allien N. Y. backmarked Virginia button with the rays.  It has no pushes or dents, has some gilt and a nice, chocolate patina on the rest of the button.  This is a very collectible coat sized (22 mm) example.  This button is VA-15 in Albert's reference.    Sold

SC 3297 -CONFEDERATE VIRGINIA LOCAL COAT SIZE BUTTON - This is a very scarce button, it's a Virginia local made button.  It has the desirable depressed channel and blank backmark.  There are still traces of gold plate finish in and around the channel.  It has a very minor rim damage, doesn't take away from it's beauty or displayability but I just thought I'd mention it.  This example has nice detail on the face, no pushes.  It's Albert's Reference VA-22, it has the five pointed star in the legend.    This coat sized button was recovered from around the Richmond, Virginia area.   $350.00              special sale offer $285.00 Pending

SC 33325 - CONFEDERATE ARTILLERY BUTTON HARPER'S HOUSE - This is an original, Confederate artillery button, it was dug around Harper's House at Sayler's Creek Battlefield many years ago. It's coat sized, has a nice, chocolate patina & tin back.  I imagine the shank loop is the hump in the back, bent over; I'm not going to scrape that area off to find out but this is a very nice button from a desirable location.     Sold

SC 3323 - BEAUTIFUL CAST CONFEDERATE "I" BUTTON - This is a beautiful cast "I" button.  It was excavated in Bermuda Hundred in Richmond, Virginia.  It has a very attractive, chocolate patina & is just a super example of this Confederate button. Most likely they were brought up when Longstreet re-outfitted some of his units down in the Tennessee area.  Great & original piece to include in your collection!      Sold

SC 3296 - CONFEDERATE CAST METAL INFANTRY BUTTON W/ BRASS SHANK - This is a super button.  It is made of cast white metal, which is very rare for the Confederate Infantry button.  It has super detail and a brass shank loop.   It measures 23mm in diameter.  These buttons are very hard to find, you'll pass over a whole lot of "I" buttons before you run across a white cast metal one.  If you don't have one of these in your collection, I don't think you could find a prettier one than the one right here.       Sold

SC 3230- BEAUTIFUL CONFEDERATE INFANTRY BUTTON / LOCAL - This button has a beautiful front and a super sharp back mark.  It has survived the War in perfect condition except a slight bend to the shank loop.  No pushes or dents and there's a nice chocolate brown colored patina.  Found in Albert's Button Book listed as CS 181.       $155.00    Sold

SC 3232 - INFANTRY MANUSCRIPT CONFEDERATE "I" BUTTON - This manuscript Infantry button was dug at Moss Neck Plantation in Jackson's Confederate camp.  It has a tiny push to it's front and the big floating style shank loop and a nice chocolate and untouched patina.  This button is listed in Albert's button book as CS 175 on page 374.     Sold

SC 3248 - SCARCE CONFEDERATE SCRIPT "I" KEPI SIZE BUTTON - This is a very desirable and scarce button, it measures only 13 mm in diameter. It has 3/4 of the shank loop remaining in the back with original cloth. This is a very hard button to find, this example has no pushes on it and it was dug in Richmond, Virginia.     $275.00

BUTTON - This is one of the better examples that I've seen in a while.  It's a really nice button, was dug in Bentonville, North Carolina.  This is a coat size example and it has a sturdy stand up shank loop, no pushes or dents.  A really great button!    Sold

SC 3299 - RARE SIZE V. M. I. CADET BUTTON - This is the small size Virginia Military Institute button that you hardly ever see.  It measures 14 mm & has excellent facial detail.  The Southern Cadets wore there school uniforms during the Civil War.  Excavated in the Central Virginia area.  The back mark is R & W Robinson.  This is the small version of SU 408 in Albert's Button Book P. 345-346.    Sold

SC 3286 -V.M.I. CONFEDERATE BUTTON - FIRMIN & SON - LONDON B/M - This is an excellent example of a rare Firmin & Son London backmark Virginia Cadet button.  This one has the stand up shank loop and very fine detail to the face and back.  This is a hard one to get.      Sold
