SC 1296 - Awesome & original,  excavated Civil War eagle cavalry button.  This beauty was  found in the Richmond, Virginia area with the other five I have listed.  All were dug in the same hole off of the same jacket.  This example has the gilt in all the right places & detail is very good!  A crisp & rare backmark Macullar, Williams & Parker of Boston, standing shank loop.  This relic will make a super piece to include in your excavated Civil War display.     *$84.99

SC 1294 - This button has a rare backmark.  It looks like the other six surrounding it but that's because I acquired these buttons , which were dug in the same hole off of one coat.  This one has a standup shank, it's a large desirable 23mm size.  It has no pushes or dents and has fine detail.  It also has a fair measure of gilt  to the face and the backmark has extra sharp & crisp detail.  This sharp backmark is Macullar, Williams & Parker, Boston.  *$84.99

SC 1265 - FEDERAL ENGINEERS BUTTON (EG-6) - This example (EG-6) is of coat size, it's a Union Federal Engineer's button.  It has a Scovill MFG. Co. Waterbury backmark.  This button has a stand up shank loop, slightly bent over, a little push to the front, and a nice, slick chocolate patina.  This one came out of Georgia and it's a nice, Confederate button.     $185.00    Sold

SC 1249 - Ordnance Coat button-Ordnance corps  button with the crossed cannon and bombshell ;measures 22mm us ordnance corps backmark. Nice chocolate patina .Button has a  tiny little crack at about 3 o' clock in the rim that you can't pick up in the picture , but it's small and other than that its a great example.     $150.00

SC 1246 - Eagle "V" - The backmark on this eagle "V" is Scovills & Co.  The eagle "V" is a hard button to find, this one is cuff size and measures 15mm.  It has no pushes or dents and the shank loop is slightly bent.  This button is also called the Virginia eagle because so many of them were found in early Confederate camps.  This is a very scarce and highly desirable button.   $190.00   Sold

SC 1284 - PENNSYLVANIA CIVIL WAR BUTTON - For your consideration I am offering an excavated Pennsylvania cuff button that has lots of gold finish on the front & very minimal ground action.  Has a stand up shank loop, this example came out of the Petersburg area in central Virginia.  These buttons are very, very hard to come by.  This one had no pushes or dents.  It also has some ground action around the rim, see the pictures for details; around the other half of the rim looks really tight.  This button is still very sound and solid.  It will make a great addition to a Federal button collection.  This button is listed in Albert's Button book (pg. 226) as PA 18, it's a cuff sized button.      Sold
